Vishuddhi Chakra (Throat Chakra)

This chakra is located near the place where the neck starts. The Element of this chakra is sound and the colour is bright blue. It symbolizes the pure consciousness, and creativity. On a psychic level, it governs expression and inspiration in speech. On the physical level it controls the activity of the vocal cords, the hearing and esophagus. The corresponding glands are the thyroid and parathyroid. Vishuddhi chakra is the symbol of sound, dreams and purity. The activation of its energy favors the understanding of non-verbal messages.

All paranormal possibilities, the super-powers known in Yoga as siddhis are connected to this chakra. Meditation on Vishuddhi chakra give calmness, pleasant voice, awakening of the artistic inspiration, capacity of interpreting correctly the sacred scriptures, and of understanding the secret language and messages of dreams.
