Mooladhar Chakra - Root Chakra |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The root chakra, as the name already tells, concerns about our roots. Where do we come from, where do we belong and what is our identity? These questions can be answered with our family and ancestors or the location where we come from. Strong energy in the first chakra gives us emotional security whereas a blockage in the Mooladhar chakra can be the reason for emotional insecurity. This insecurity makes them feel attached to the material world in an attempt to find an identity. This lack of identity also expresses itself in inferiority and superiority complexes because people who are not sure who they are have to make themselves big or small. People with blockages in the first chakra often have the feeling they are not being heard which is why they become very talkative. The element of this chakra is earth and someone whose energy in this chakra is weak is not connected with earth, not grounded. Emotional consequences are anger, depression and a disorientation in life. On a physical level the legs and knees are related with the root chakra and hence affected if the natural flow of energy is stopped there. Cancer is also related to the first chakra. The first chakra is the basic chakra where the Kundalini energy lies and from where is rises on its way to the other chakras. Problems and blockages in the first chakra are a very common problem especially in countries and cultures in which family values get lost and where children and teenagers do not get a strong background of where they come from. If you believe that you have blockages in your Mooladhar chakra and would like to get the flow of energy back to its natural balance, you can come to a
Chakra Workshop where you learn how to clear your chakras.
A fun way of cleansing the chakras is a
Chakra Dance Party, a dynamic meditation in which the participants balance their chakras by moving freely to Chakra Dance Music.
This music was especially designed for this purpose. For your own chakra meditation and dance at home you can download the
Chakra Dance Music here.
In his blog about chakras Swami Balendu writes more about each chakra and gives practical examples for issues with the chakras
